Dying 4-Year-Old Wants Cards For Christmas

Hannah Garman is a 4-year-old who was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, a rare, incurable brain cancer in October. She was given about 12 weeks to live. Her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was pregnant with Hannah. Doctors didn’t think her mother would survive the pregnancy without being treated so they took a chance and gave her chemo. She survived and gave birth to Hannah.

Hannah lost her mother to breast cancer when she was only 3.

When Hannah was asked what she wanted for Christmas she replied that she wanted to see how many Christmas cards she could get.

Hannah has lost most of her motor skills and is confined to bed. One of the few things she can do is open and play with the cards. Her room is full of them.

Hannah has an older brother and sister. Hannah’s father and her grandparents are caring for her.

One of the three addresses to send cards to Hannah is below:

Hannah Garman
259 North Reading Rd.
Ephrata, Pa. 17522

You can visit Hannah’s Caring Bridge page to see pictures of her and to get more information.
