Dying 5-Year-Old Boy Wants Christmas Cards

Noah Biorkman is a 5-year-old boy who is losing his 2 1/2 year battle with Neuroblastoma Cancer. Noah loves Christmas cards but he won’t live to see Christmas this year.

In February 2007 Noah was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma Cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, Neuroblatoma Cancer is a form of cancer that starts in certain types of very primitive developing nerve cells found in an embryo or fetus. This type of cancer occurs in infants and young children and is rarely found in children that are older than 10 years.

Noah went into remission in August 2007 but relapsed in September 2008. Despite going through six different trials, the cancer has continued to spread.

The Biorkman family is celebrating Christmas this weekend. Diana Harrison Biorkman, Noah’s mother, has appealed for Christmas cards for her son. There are two addresses you can send them to.

Please take a minute to send a card to:

Noah Biorkman
1141 Fountain View Circle
South Lyon MI 48178

or

Noah Biorkman
c/o 99.5 WYCD
2201 Woodward Heights Blvd.
Ferndale, MI  48220-1511

Mrs. Biorkman mentioned the early Christmas for her son in an email to Ed Carter, an on-air morning radio personality at WKSR radio in Pulaski, Tennessee. Noah’s mother and Mr. Carter went to school together years ago and keep in touch by email.

WDIV-TV spoke with the Biorkman family on this past Wednesday, November 4. A picture of Noah and video of the interview can be found at WYCD Radio in Ferndale, MI.

More information can be found from Noah’s section of the CarePages website.
