I worked for the Kerry campaign in the 2004 election in New Mexico. I was a volunteer making calls to registered Democrats using printouts ostensibly from the registrar of voters. After hours of calling and finding the phone numbers did not match the addresses or names of voters on the list, it became apparent something was wrong. It was if the Democratic voters list had been scrambled. Many of those called claimed they had never lived at the address given for them -- some said they were not registered. I left the state shortly thereafter and never learned what had happened. Any idea?
